I don't usually write reviews but Anthony did an unbelievable job! We inheritied some sash bay windows in a conservation area so needed to be renovated like for like. what i thought would be a quick sand and paint job myself turned out to be a nightmare bodged job from the previous owners (car filler and hundreds of screws to cover the rot!) Anthony has brought the back from the dead to their orignal glory and our sash works after being nailed, glued, painted and whatever else shut. Not only the carpentry expertise, he also restored the limestone sill, removing the old concrete that was causing it to crack! I honestly think there's not many people who would have been able to fix what we had, he really is a jack of all trades and a master of all of them based off what he did and he's a great guy, will be giving him a call when we next need something
Anthony did a wonderful job for us! We had an L-shaped bench made in our kitchen/diner with two side tables and a tv cabinet. The tv is hidden behind the short L-side and pops up on request. We are thrilled with the quality and workmanship Anthony provided and would recommend him to all. Anthony also sourced and liaised with a local upholsterer to complete the leather section, which again was a great result. Overall, top notch.
Antony rebuilt and improved our very old patio doors. It was a specialist job that few carpenters could do. But Anthony had the skills and experience and did a great job. We went on to hire him to build us some cupboards which we are also very pleased with!

I would highly recommend St John's Carpenters. Anthony fitted two bespoke alcove units (cupboards with book shelves on top) on either side of our fireplace. He filled us with confidence and did a fantastic job, he has wonderful attention to detail, a depth of knowledge and experience, and listened to all our requests and reflected them. Because our house is Edwardian the walls are not perfectly straight and Anthony worked with the walls to ensure that the cupboards and shelves fit perfectly into the alcoves. Thank you - we are delighted!

Anthony installed some solid timber hanging shelves in a loft alcove, coming up with innovative and good-looking ways to make them sturdy and long lasting. He also helped box some gas piping, making the boxing as small as possible and dealing with some curved walls. Seems to being a lot of experience with him and also very reliable, giving transparent pricing. He also helped to fix some other small things for free whilst here.

Anthony did some carpentry work for us just before Christmas. The work was superb & he went above & beyond to ensure we got the most use out of the space, even managing to make some extra shelving out of the space. What was more impressive was that he stayed until 10:30 pm at night to get the job done on the evening that London entered Tier 4. We were really impressed by his workmanship and dedication to get the job done. Will certainly be my first call in the future for any skilled carpentry work

Anthony did carpentry work to remove a built-in fridge with cabinet doors, and enlarge the space so that I could fit a slotted-in side by side fridge freezer. He did an amazing job, had excellent suggestions on small details, and obviously takes huge pride in his work no matter how small the job (this was a 1 day job). Highly recommend

I hired Tony to fit a staircase I purchased for my property. Upon starting the job it was revealed that the staircase purchased was not of the correct size so wouldn't fit. My fault! as I had purchased this long before hiring tony to fit it. Tony was fantastic and assessed the stairs in situ and determined that they need not be removed and could be fixed. He replaced the bottom three steps and newel post which was no easy task. This saved not only time but also a lot of money. The finished job was Fantastic! I have, and do recommend him as a craftsman to others!

We required a newly installed booler to be boxed in and cupboards produced to allow for access for any servicing in the alcove of our terraced house. Tony was able to give us a very competitive quote and was able to undertake the work and relatively short notice. Tony as very professional and very diligent. His work is of a very good standard and I would recommend him. Once I save up more money we will ask tony to produce our understairs cupboards!View less

I needed someone to urgently repair a broken lock. I was fortunate enough to find this joinery company on the internet, after contacting about 5. Not only was Anthony punctual and honest.
